Hey all,
Since this is my first official post, I thought I'd start by briefly introducing myself. Born and raised in the suburbs of Los Angeles County, I'm just your run-of-the-mill guy - very ordinary and nothing extraordinary. I went to a normal high school filled with unforgettable memories and played b-ball and did karate after school until the sun went down. My university days were also unforgettable in a new light. Exposed to an entire new spectrum of people, intelligence and excellence, it has really changed forever for the better. Which brings me to the present - Japan. I have been living and working in Japan for some time now. After university, I took a leap of faith and enrolled in a great program called the "Japan English and Teaching Programme" or better known as the "Jet Programme." It allows native speakers from all over the world to live and work in Japan (usually rural Japan), as an English teaching assistant at a elementary, middle or high school. In my case, I taught at 16 schools total that included 10 elementaries and 6 junior highs. Not to mention the occasional visits to kindergartens and day care centers, I had the most enriching 3 years of my life living a small city of only 28,000 people called WAJIMA, located in ISHIKAWA prefecture. This was the point in my life where destiny took hold of the drivers seat.
The purpose of this blog will not only be to introduce the world through my eyes and soul, but will try to give insight on life itself and it's abundance of curveballs, tsunamis, and gold medals.
Welcome to the World of WajimaWalt.
Peace.v(^o^)v.
